Comic Book Pre-Orders
We order a wide variety of comics each week. HOWEVER, we only order what we believe our customers actually will want to buy. That’s where you come in! If there is a particular item you want–whether it’s a single comic book, trade paperback, t-shirt, toy, statue, or other merchandise–the only way to guarantee we’ll have on for you is if you pre-order it from us!
You can learn about upcoming comics and merchandise from our staff, the monthly catalog called Previews that you can find on our checkout counter (or from its website, PreviewsWorld.com), or from other sources. We are happy to order anything you want that we can get from our distributors, and a pre-order means we will order the thing you want AND have enough copies to make sure you get one.
Pre-Orders: How and Why
Learn more about the hows and whys of pre-orders in this PSA on ComicsAlliance.com and this delightful tutorial from comic writer Kieron Gillen (Darth Vader, The Wicked + The Divine).
This applies to comics and almost any other type of merchandise we might carry, including games. Now that you know all about pre-orders, lets talk about how to set up a recurring pre-order, aka a subscription.
We offer a subscription service for monthly comics. If you set up a subscription for new issues, we’ll create your “box” to save a copy of each book you subscribe to just for you. Every time a new issue of a series you’re subscribed to comes out, you’ll have a copy reserved for you in your box. There is no minimum number of titles to maintain your subscription – if you only want one book, we want to get that book for you! All we ask is that you pick up your box at least once a month (or make other arrangements with us if necessary – we’re flexible, but we need to know that you are planning to come get them).
Best of all, subscribers receive a 10% discount on ALL new issues (not just what you’re subscribed to) and supplies (bags, boards, storage boxes, etc.).
You also can subscribe to trade paperback (TPB) or hardcover collections for ongoing series, if they are available. Availability varies, so ask us for more details.
Mail Order Subscriptions
We are happy to do mail-order subscriptions as well. Contact us for details!
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to set up your subscription. Subscribers can opt in to receive email updates to let them know whenever titles to which they are subscribed are ready to be picked up.
